So, Cinco De Mayo was yesterday and it was awesome. For some reason I thought that we were having people over for margaritas just for fun. Little did I realize that we were going to be celebrating a Mexican holiday that simply translates in a American to great tequila sales.

We started the night off with some of the most amazing margaritas I have ever had (I think Jill has discovered a hidden talent). She purchased 4 different types of berries, tequila and some margarita mix. We had a nice variety of blended margaritas and the traditional margaritas.

Then, inevitably, Guitar Hero 3 was called upon. It was a party and the only way to party is to rock…and we rocked.

After rocking so hard we became famished and needed some food to replenish our energy. Since it was a Mexican fiesta the only real option for food was a quesadilla. And since we so happen to have a quesadilla maker we made the best quesadilla you could ever have. Jill got a little carried away with one of hers.

At some point in the night Ryan flashed everyone then disappeared into the bathroom.

I thought he was taking a dump for how long he was in the bathroom but it turned out he just wanted to fill a stereotype we hadn’t hit on yet during the night…he cut a mustache.

This was the best Cinco De Mayo I have participated in. So, if you want to have the most excellent party ever next year, use the formula in the title of this post and you will succeed.

Los Angeles

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

I went to Los Angeles last week to meet the people that I have been working with over at oversee.net. They have the 44th and 43rd floors of the Paul Hastings building in downtown LA. It was a really awesome experience and the people that I met were super nice. It was really cool and it was great to meet people face to face. I got to stay at the Westin Bonaventure in LA, which was pretty epic.

While I was there I got a chance to hang out with my friend Sujan from San Diego who moved to LA. We went out one night to this hotel called The Standard. It was a total hipster bar/nightclub but it was awesome. All the workers wore all red uniforms, there was a swimming pool and these weird pods that had water beds in them. It was cool to hang out with Sujan and to get a glimpse of what a successful internet company looks like on the inside.

And I saw Dane Cook at a food court while eating pizza, it was weird.

Here are some pics:
